Access to Online Resources
Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) students, faculty, staff, residents, and other users who have a BU login name and Kerberos password can access licensed online resources from off-campus locations through an authentication service called EZproxy. These resources include electronic journals, textbooks, databases, and other Web-based tools. Users no longer need the VPN or Proxy Server to access most resources.
- If you need to renew or apply for a BU (Kerberos) login account, please follow the instructions on the Computer Lab’s Accessing Library Resources page.
- For more information on EZproxy, please visit the BU Information Services & Technology EZproxy page.
- If your BU ID and password are working in general but you are having trouble connecting to specific electronic resources, please view our Troubleshooting Tips, visit the BU IS&T EZproxy Frequently Asked Questions Page, or contact the Reference Desk at refquest@bu.edu or (617) 358-4810, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- If your BU ID and password are not working (you are not able to sign into any BU service), please contact BUMC IT via the Computing Help Desk at (617) 358-1111 or bumchelp@bu.edu. Your account may need to be updated or renewed.
