Biography
For almost fifteen years, I served as a Physician Editor for pulmonary medicine at UpToDate, an online clinical resource for physicians. In my work as a Physician Editor, I collaborated with outside authors and editors to research and evaluate the medical literature for pulmonary medicine to provide evidence-based, point-of-care guidance for the practicing physician. While the main goal of UpToDate is to guide clinical decision-making, UpToDate also serves as a major resource for Continuing Medical Education, Maintenance-of-Certification, and Patient Education. Previously, I developed the curriculum for the Allergy & Immunology fellowship program at Boston Medical Center and served as the training program director for many years. In addition, I participated in a number of multicenter trials of medications for asthma, COPD, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
