Dr. Sophia Dyer Named Among Most Influential Women in EMS

Sophia DyerWe are pleased to announce that our very own Dr. Sophia Dyer, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of Boston EMS, Police & Fire, has been named as one of the 14 most influential women in EMS in the United States!

EMS1.com published the announcement about Dr. Dyer, who is the first female medical director for Boston EMS, as part of their celebration of Women’s History Month.

Dr. Dyer is a graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the Boston City Hospital/Boston Medical Center program, and a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the Children’s Hospital Boston Regional Center for Poison Control and Prevention. In addition, she has received many prestigious awards throughout her career including the Boston University School of Medicine Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award and the Corey M. Slovis Award for Excellence in Education.
