Our home base, BMC is an urban, academic, Level 1 trauma center. BMC is also a safety-net hospital with the busiest emergency department and trauma center in New England, and has excellent ancillary resources.
BCH is one of the top children’s hospitals in the country with a worldwide referral center. It is also home to the Regional Center for Poison Control and Prevention, featuring a 24-hour toxicology call center, case-based learning, and weekly lectures.
St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center
Located in Boston, St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center is a full-service community hospital. Residents of all levels report directly to EM attendings in a fast-paced department with a diverse patient population.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center
Located in Burlington, MA, Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is a tertiary referral center with very busy CT surgery, liver transplant, and general medicine services. At Lahey, residents of all levels report directly to the EM attending. Lahey has a separate fast-track and an academic leaning to the emergency department.
Located in Brockton, MA, Good Samaritan Hospital is a full-service community hospital with a fast-paced department and a diverse patient population. Residents of all levels report directly to EM attendings, and EM residents are the only residents in the hospital.
Massachusetts Eye and Ear (or MEE) is a specialty hospital located in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, which focuses on ophthalmology (eye), otolaryngology (ear/nose/throat), and related medicine and research. BMC residents rotate at MEE with the anesthesia service for advanced airway management training.
