The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics Lisa Shen, MD, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for October.

Shen joined our community in July 2018. She serves as director of the dermatology residency program and vice chair of education for the department. She also is a pediatric dermatologist at Boston Medical Center, where she co-directs the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Clinic and the Pediatric Dermatology Coping Clinic. Shen has a particular interest in the intersection of pediatric skin disease and behavioral health.

Her nominators say, “Dr. Shen is an exceptional physician-educator whose influence spans clinical teaching, mentorship, curriculum development and educational leadership.

“As program director, she led a comprehensive revitalization of the dermatology residency program during a period of significant departmental change.

“Dr. Shen cultivates a learning environment in which all trainees feel supported and empowered.”

Congratulations!
