The Dean’s Office is pleased to announce that Jon Asgeirsson has been named Distinguished Staff of the Month for August.

Jon is an instructional technology support specialist II for BUMC IT/Educational Media. He joined our community in March 2022.

His nominators say, “Jon is the first to make sure everything is running smoothly – not only in the room, but outside of meeting hours by coordinating with course directors, deans and other support staff and faculty.

“He constantly tries to find new and innovative ways to make the technology work for the course needs and is always ready to tackle anything that comes up with a smile.

“Jon quite simply is a joy to have around. He’s an exceptional employee and a trusted colleague.”
