The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor of Family Medicine Lidya Wlasiuk, MD, MPH, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for April.

Wlasiuk joined the BU community in 2015. She is the director of the third-year family medicine clerkship and an attending family physician at Boston Medical Center and the South Boston Community Health Center.

Her nominators say, “Dr. Wlasiuk is an excellent, thoughtful & compassionate teacher; approachable and supportive and makes a lasting impact on students.

“She is extremely accessible and takes time to talk and answer any questions.

“Dr. Wlasiuk is an exemplar of the physician that I aspire to be. She is incredibly kind and supportive to her patients in a genuine manner that is exemplified in the way that her patients light up when she walks into the room.
