The award supports early career scientists dedicated to careers in hematology research as they establish themselves as independent investigators.
Participants are selected in recognition of outstanding achievements and the program provides an opportunity to identify and address pressing concerns for the nation.
Her nominators said, “Dr. Lee’s instructions encompass the significance of multiculturalism and diverse viewpoints. She is committed to teaching and the well-being of students.”
Dr. Fearns joined the faculty in 2007 as an assistant professor. Her appointment will be effective Feb. 1.
Dr. Farber will serve in this role during this transition period while a national search is conducted.
Her nominators said, “Dr. Sarfaty is an excellent advisor and mentor to medical students. She goes above and beyond to help and we are so grateful for the time she devotes to us.”
