Juan (Tommy) Jaquez Named Distinguished Staff of the Month for March

The Dean’s Office is pleased to announce that Juan (Tommy) Jaquez, animal care technician in BU’s Animal Science Center, has been named Distinguished Staff of the Month for March.

Juan joined our community in November 2013.

His nominators say, “Juan contributes significantly to the research at BU by ensuring the difficult-to-breed lines can successfully and productively raise their pups. He carefully examines dozen, if not hundreds, of cages daily and, thus, has detailed knowledge about all of them.

“He is always attentive and helpful, and he approaches colleagues and investigators with patience, kindness and respect.

“Juan is an extremely dedicated animal caretaker.”
