Brian Marx, PhD, Receives Scientific Achievement Award

Headshot of Brian MarxBrian Marx, PhD, a VA Boston HealthCare System clinical psychologist, deputy director of the Behavioral Science Division of VA’s National Center for PTSD, and professor of psychiatry, received the Robert S. Laufer Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement during the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies annual meeting in November for advancing the field of trauma psychology through his research and clinical work, as well as his mentorship of young psychologists pursuing academic careers.

“Brian’s work in the assessment, treatment and understanding of traumatic stress is at the top of his field,” said Terence Keane, PhD, chief of research at VA Boston, director of the Behavioral Science Division of the National Center for PTSD, and assistant dean for research. “We’re deeply pleased with his many contributions and for helping make both VA Boston and Boston University hubs of excellence in this incredibly important research.”
