Biography
Dr. Linda Heffner MD is Emeritus Professor and Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. After she earned a Ph.D. in physiology from Cornell University and an M.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine she completed multiple fellowships in the field of Obstetrics, which sparked her passion for research and teaching. Dr. Heffner came to BUSM in 2003 after spending 18 years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Heffner has won numerous awards for her teaching from Harvard and Boston University and has been named to Who’s Who in Medicine and Health Care. She has published various articles, textbooks, and reviews over the course of her career.
