Kathleen Marinelli Named November’s Distinguished Staff of the Month

The Dean’s Office is pleased to announce that Kathleen Marinelli has been named Distinguished Staff of the Month for November.

Kathy has served as administrative assistant in the Department of Microbiology for the past 32 years – longer than any other current member! Her nominators said, “She is familiar to most everyone at the medical school. Her dedication to the students, staff and faculty goes way beyond her job description.

“Kathy’s most valuable “superpower” is her ability to connect with all people and make them feel respected and valued – whether they are a student having a bad day, a delivery person lost in the halls, a visiting seminar speaker or someone from facilities called to fix something – she always makes time for them. You can always count on Kathy to be helpful, cheerful, supportive and professional.”
