At BUSM, we are blessed with deep reservoirs of energy and creativity, among our faculty, students, and staff alike. Their work is supported by a dedicated and generous donor community. When these resources come together—when creativity receives sustained support—life-changing results become possible.

We live in challenging economic times, which have compelled us—like all other great research institutions—to make choices, and to concentrate our resources on key initiatives. But thanks to our donors, the School’s educational mission, programs, and outreach have continued to thrive. They help us mount ambitious research programs. And they also help us support our students, who are the physicians and researchers of tomorrow.

New student residence

Exterior nearing completion

BUSM’s first medical student residence now has a roof, a nearly complete brick facade, and its first windows.

“With the generous support of our friends and alumni, the concept of student housing at Boston University School of Medicine is becoming a reality,” says BU President Robert A. Brown. “The fundraising for this project is not yet complete, but we have reached a milestone where we are confident of attaining our goal.”

Opening in fall 2012, the residence will transform the student-life experience for many MED students, fostering a living and learning environment that is convenient and affordable.
