Alumni Weekend 2012 – Student Volunteers

Alumni Weekend 2012 is just around the corner on the weekend of May 4-5, 2011 and the Alumni Association would love to have YOU participate as a student volunteer!

At each event you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a fun activity while helping out the Alumni Association by being a student representative. The alumni truly love seeing students and talking to you about your experiences at BUSM. You are the best spokespeople for the School — that’s why we want you to enjoy yourself right along with the reunion classes!

The available opportunities are listed below. Students who have helped out during previous Alumni Weekends have always had a great time, so we hope you can join us.

  • Please review the Alumni Weekend volunteer opportunities below and fill in your choices at the bottom of the form. We welcome students to attend as many events as they would like.

    Friday, May 4, 2012:

    1.) Reunion Reception/Dinner
    Location:Taj Boston Hotel
    Attire: Business, white coat encouraged.

    5:00pm - Greet and direct guests to reception, mingle with alumni.
    7:30pm - Golden Reunion Dinner Party: all classes prior to and including 1961 [optional]*
    * The Golden Reunion Dinner Party often has fewer guests. Having volunteers there adds an extra spark to the dinner and your presence is always appreciated by those in attendance!
    8:00pm - Volunteers dinner [optional] - join volunteers for a private dinner after guests have been directed to their reunion dinner rooms.

    Saturday, May 5, 2012:

    2.) Barbecue and Student Led Tours of campus
    Location: BUSM, Instructional Building
    Attire: Casual (if you have any BUSM gear feel free to wear it!)

    12:00pm - Barbecue Luncheon and Sundae Bar in Hiebert Lounge [optional] – join Reunion classes for lunch and a sundae bar.
    1:00-4:00pm - Lead alumni on tours of the School and Medical Campus, including the new student residence! (We provide a suggested tour route and information packet to all volunteers).

    3.) Annual Banquet
    Location: Taj Boston Hotel
     Attire: Business to semi-formal, white coat encouraged.

    5:30pm - Greet and direct guests to reception, mingle with alumni.
    7:30pm - Dinner and Dancing [optional] – stay and join Reunion classes, faculty, graduating students and guests as they celebrate with dinner and dancing.
