BMC Featured on NPR for Social Determinants of Health Training

Dr. Thea James, Associate Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Mission, Dr. Jeff Schneider, Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education, Dr. Travis Manasco, PGY-4, and Dr. Haley Thun, PGY-2, have been featured on National Public Radio for their roles in developing a curriculum for new interns and fellows on the social determinants of health!

The Boston Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency is a national leader in public health programs and educational initiatives that raise the quality of care for underserved and vulnerable patient populations.

Also involved in this initiative were Chelsea McGuire, Elizabeth Doran, Leslie Halpern, Karan Verma, and the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR) Social Determinants of Health Group.
