Elective Information for non-Boston University School of Medicine students

PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS ENROLLED IN FOREIGN MEDICAL SCHOOLS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ELECTIVES AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

All visiting students must have completed a criminal background check within 12 months of their requested elective start date.

Elective Application Process for Students Enrolled in LCME Accredited Medical Schools and Osteopathic Medical Schools:

The application process  to apply for electives at Boston University School of Medicine for the academic year 2013-2014 for students enrolled in LCME accredited medical schools and osteopathic medical schools will open on the AAMC VSAS system at 5:00 p.m., May 10, 2013.  For more information on VSAS, please see www.aamc.org/vsas or contact vsas@aamc.org or (202) 478-9878.


Note: Due to the high volume of requests we cannot accept telephone or e-mail inquiries regarding the status of applications.

VSAS applications will be reviewed approximately 60 days prior to requested elective start date.

You will be notified via VSAS e-mail regarding the status of your application and or scheduling of electives.

 

2013-2014 elective application information for students enrolled in Canadian medical schools will be available on this website May 10, 2013.
