Connect2Care is an Integrated Behavioral Health initiative that aims to make virtual mental health services more accessible to people across different populations. Specifically, we are partnering with community agencies to create private spaces that are fully equipped with computers and internet for our patients to connect to video visits with their BMC clinicians. Connect2Care offers all the advantages of virtual therapy, while providing the dedicated, quiet space for patients.
In the past, Connect2Care has partnered with the Roxbury Presbyterian Church and the Roxbury Public Library. Connect2Care is now offering services at select Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston branches to strengthen access to virtual mental health services to youth across Boston. How It Works ▼
What makes Connect2Care different than taking appointments at home or in person?
At BMC, we believe that every patient deserves access to quality care. There can be barriers to in person therapy for a patient, such as an inability to get to the clinic due to location or schedule. Some patients may be unable to create an appropriate space for an appointment in their own home or may not have reliable access to the technology needed for a telehealth appointment. Connect2Care addresses this need by providing a dedicated space for patients to take virtual mental health appointments, in places local to them that they are already familiar with, such as libraries, churches and more.
Our Services ▼
Connect2Care provides individual therapy for the community members serviced by the organizations we partner with. We provide the laptop, headphones, and private space for each mental health visit made at our partner sites. At this time, Connect2Care cannot prescribe medication.
