ABOVE Program, Expanding Suboxone Access

We are excited to announce the opening of the Addiction and Behavioral Health Outpatient RecoVEry (ABOVE) program. The ABOVE program began offering services at the end of January and offers medication treatment to adults with co-occurring opioid use and mental disorders. The program is funded by SAMHSA. ABOVE has two primary aims: 1) to expand access to opioid use disorder medication treatment utilizing a nurse care management model and 2) to provide evidence-based treatment for mental disorders that often co-occur in patients with opioid use disorder. In addition to medication treatment, the program offers individual and group psychotherapy and peer support through a recovery coach. Referrals can be made through contacting project manager Kristin Parent through EPIC or by calling the referral line at 617-414-1950.
