ILL Request Form

NOTE: Interlibrary Loan Service is closed December 19th through January 4th during BU’s Intersession break.

If you urgently need articles during Intersession, the Boston Public Library offers no-cost document delivery service for cardholders, the Copyright Clearance Center can provide articles to individuals for a fee, and many journals will sell individual access to specific articles.

Requests submitted using this form during the break will be filled when we return on Monday, January 5th.

Interlibrary loan service is available to Boston University students, faculty, and staff of the Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Public Health, and the BU Medical Campus, including Boston Medical Center, BMC Brighton (formerly St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center) and BMC South (formerly Good Samaritan Medical Center).

Materials in electronic format (i.e., journal articles and book chapters) usually arrive within 1-4 business days: print books will take longer since they must be shipped and some of our partner libraries have limited hours and/or staff. We appreciate your patience when requesting print materials.

There is no charge for ILL service.
