Biography

Dr. Nieves is a veteran focused senior executive leader with proven record in coordinating and integrating clinical and support programs to meet the needs of veterans. She has been effective in creating opportunities for facility-wide quality improvements, encouraging high performance development of core competencies, helping Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities across the Nation implement the Whole Health System, and closely collaborating with facility leadership, Service Chiefs and the Veteran Integrated Service Network (VISN) to ensure quality, safety and value.

She has been facility lead in regulatory mandates, office of inspector general tasks, facility policies, and compliance with accreditation standards. She has VA experience within a 405-bed level 1A facility as well as a 386-bed Geriatric and Psychiatric facility.
