Biography
I am a third-year clinical fellow in Hematology & Medical Oncology at the Boston Medical Center (BMC) and a Clinical Instructor at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUSM). Under the clinical and research mentorship of Dr. J Mark Sloan, I have developed an interest in dedicating to the clinical care of patients with virally-mediated (HTLV-, EBV-, and HIV- associated) lymphomas. My clinical research activities are focused on improving access to clinical trials and identifying tolerable and effective regimens for patients with demonstrable biological rationale for patients with Adult T-cell Leukemia/Lymphoma (ATLL). I deeply seek to improve outcomes for patients and families impacted by HTLV/ATLL.
Prior to fellowship, I have spent the entirety of my clinical training in safety-net settings. After internal medicine residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Kings County Hospital Center, I completed a chief residency year. I focused my chief residency year on improving access to outpatient cancer screening for safety-net patients and establishing a mentoring program for trainees.
