Biography

Charlene Sylvestre is a Nurse Practitioner and Instructor of Medicine at BU certified in Family Practice who has a MSW from Boston College and a MSN from Holy Names University in California. She had worked in Family Practice in California, Maine, and Massachusetts for twelve years when she decided to specialize and has been the Adult Sickle Cell Nurse Practitioner since 2015. She cares for adult Sickle Cell patients both in-patient and in the Sickle Cell Center of Excellence at BU/BMC to provide continuity of care. Her special interests include sickle cell research and pain management.
