Finance, Revenue & Data Analysis Sample Syllabus

The Finance Staff Development Program will consist of weekly online training sessions interspersed with regular 1:1 mentor meetings and individual assigned activities & tasks. The course will require 2-3 hours of effort per week over the course of 4-5 months.

Course Description and Learning Goals: The course is designed to give participant with little to no financial background a baseline understanding of finance, revenue and data analysis as it relates to the Department of Medicine and its financial operations.  Participants will practice various financial analysis and reporting techniques, learn to read and analyze major financial statements and learn the basics of Department and Hospital finance structure and operations.
