DOM Education Week 2026
The Department of Medicine will host its third annual Education Week from May 11 – May 15, 2026, featuring a series of events dedicated to celebrating and advancing our educational initiatives. This week provides an opportunity to showcase ongoing efforts, explore new research, and expand program development. Additionally, we offer tailored workshops for key stakeholders, including an All-Educators Workshop, Program Administrators Workshop, and Fellowship Program Directors Workshop.

Monday, May 11
Marketplace
L Building, Room 405 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Marketplace offers a collaborative space for individuals to present early-stage projects, receive feedback, and connect with potential collaborators. Projects may focus on curricular innovations, educational research, or new teaching initiatives. Call for submissions coming soon!

Fellowship Program Directors Workshop
Wilkins Boardroom | 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
A dedicated workshop for Fellowship Program Directors and Associate Program Directors on Professional Identity Formation.

Education Week Kickoff Reception
Estragon Restaurant | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Join us for an evening of networking, refreshments, and discussion of current education initiatives. We’ll also present our education faculty’s accomplishments from the annual year thus far! This event is designed for program educators, MEP fellows/residents, and administrators.

Crack the Case: Sharing Internal Medicine Subspecialties with Our Students

Burnout in GME Administration: Understanding It — And Using AI to Reduce It

Join us for a workshop targeted towards Program Administrators and Coordinators dealing with burnout. This workshop will give you the tools you need to identify signs of burnout and build skills in using AI to reduce burnout going forward.

Medical Quiz Bowl!

Come participate in a medical case-based Quiz Bowl game with two of our Chief Medical Residents, Max Uetz and Camilo Toro. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, join in the on the fun and games!

Senior Resident Academic Day (SRAD)
Keefer Auditorium (Oral Abstract Presentations) & Wilkins Boardroom/Evans Seminar Room (Poster Presentations) | 8:30 AM – 11:45 PM
Come see our Senior Residents present their posters and oral abstracts for their scholarly projects! We have a wide variety of project this year and we can’t wait for you to learn all about them.
