Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Awards

Annually, awards are given to individuals who have made special contributions to the efforts and progress of the Affinity Research Collaboratives (ARCs). Beginning in May and through September nomination letters in support of a nominee may be submitted via email to Robin MacDonald (at: remac@bu.edu) or Dr. Katya Ravid (at kravid@bu.edu) by their ARC directors and peers. Nominating letters should include the candidate’s contributions to the success and progress of ARCs and Team Science in general, or to a specific ARC. Of great importance is the nominee’s contribution and support of the collaborative educational and translational research mission of the Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research (ECIBR) and BU Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Office (IBRO). Awardees are decided by an ad hoc committee called for by the ECIBR director and comprised of 3-4 faculty members in addition to the ECIBR Director. Awardees are selected based on the strength and number of the recommendations. The recipient(s) receive notification by email and are recognized during DOM Evans Days in October.
