Curriculum

The Geriatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship curriculum allows for an immersive experience in the fields of Geriatrics and Hematology-Oncology over four years of fellowship. Year 1 focuses on Geriatric Medicine with rotations in various practice settings to provide broad exposure to the care of older adults. While focusing on Geriatrics, year 1 also immerses fellows in longitudinal hematology/oncology clinics, as well as inpatient hematology/oncology electives. Years 2 through 4 focus on Hematology-Oncology, rotating through inpatient services, subspecialty experiences, and protected research and elective time. Research and elective time can be shaped to fit the fellow’s specific interests in Geriatrics/Hematology/Oncology.  Throughout the fellowship, fellows have longitudinal ambulatory clinics in both specialties, as well as leadership, clinical teaching and health systems training.
