Biography
Richy C. Villa, LICSW (he/him) is the Director of Training and Social Work Development for the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center. Richy also serves as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Richy is an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Certified Therapist and IFS-I Approved Clinical Consultant and has additional IFS specialization in the Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) model for couple therapy. He is also trained in and practices Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is a Certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F). Richy teaches didactics in group psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and couple therapy and provides psychotherapy supervision for Boston Medical Center and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Richy is a member of the World Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counseling (WAPCEPC).
