Biography

Philip Connors, MS, MPH, CGC received an M.S. in Genetic Counseling from Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine in 2014 and an M.P.H. from Boston University School of Public Health focusing in Health Policy and Law in 2020. Prior to joining the BUGC team in 2015, Philip worked in the Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In this role, he counseled patients for a variety of oncologic diagnoses and gained expertise in next-generation sequencing technology and the implications of gene panel testing. Philip’s current clinical and research interests include reproductive justice and genetic testing, the intersection of genetics and public health/policy, and ethical considerations in genetics and genetic counseling. At Boston Medical Center, Philip is lead genetic counselor in the Antenatal Testing Unit, providing reproductive genetic counseling services to patients and their families.
