Biography

Dr. Baldwin is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and an addiction specialist at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Baldwin completed her family medicine residency and chief residency at the Boston Medical Center (BMC) in 2017 and is board certified in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine.

Since joining the BU Department of Family Medicine faculty, Dr. Baldwin has catalyzed a number of clinical programs and quality improvement efforts. She is the Medical Director for the Stimulant Treatment and Recovery Team (START), a clinic that uses evidence-based contingency management techniques to care for patients with stimulant use disorders and manages acute and chronic presenting needs of people who use drugs. She is the Director of the Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) Program in Family Medicine at BMC, leads the Hepatitis C Program in Family Medicine, and formerly led the Addiction Pathway for the BMC Family Medicine Residency Program at South Boston Community Health Center and at Greater Roslindale Medical & Dental Center. Her clinical and research interests include stimulant use disorders with a focus on cocaine and methamphetamine use, harm reduction for stimulant use, sexualized drug use, and the integration of stimulant care in primary care settings.
