Junghae Choi, MD
Instructor, Medicine
Biography
I was originally drawn to medicine when my grandmother was chronically ill. I recall wanting to help her get better. She passed away when I was in elementary school, but the desire to help stayed with me and influenced my decision to go into medicine. I am an internist and I have chosen to concentrate my efforts toward taking care of the sick who are hospitalized.
I obtained my medical degree from the University of California (UC) Los Angeles School of Medicine. I then completed a residency with UC Davis Medical Center. I am board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of internal medicine. In addition to English, I also speak Korean.
My other areas of interests are liver diseases and coronary artery disease.
