9.4T Bruker BioSpec MRI

The Center of Biomedical Imaging houses a 9.4T Bruker BioSpec MRI. It has a bore size of 20 cm and is equipped with a state-of-art CryoProbes. The 9.4T system provides imaging capacities ranging from small animals (e.g., rats and mice) to ex vivo tissue samples.
Bruker BioSpec MRI scanner is located in the basement of the Evans Biomedical Research Center, X-Building, 650 Albany St., Boston. The Center provides MRI scan time, as well as expertise in all modalities of magnetic resonance imaging for the Boston University community and for external researchers.
Ning Hua, PhD, is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the 9.4T Bruker scanner. All new projects must first be discussed with Dr. Hua to determine feasibility and initiate planning of experiments. For extended projects, we will train new investigators and provide expert consultation.
