Third-Party Verification Requests for Enrollment or Degree Verification

For third-party verification requests from medical facilities, professional organizations, or other entities requiring proof of enrollment or degree verification, Boston University utilizes the National Student Clearinghouse.

Please note: A fee applies for this service. The University will release only designated directory information unless a privacy preference is in effect, in which case a signed release is required.

For Other Verification Requests:

If third party requires additional information about a student or alumni (such as transcript details, probation history, or diploma verification) released, the student or alumni must contact us directly with a signed release. Please include the following details in the request:

• Full name (including any former names)
• Signature
• Boston University ID number or last 4 digits of SSN
• Date of birth
• School attended
• Dates of attendance
• Degrees awarded
• Complete mailing address or email address for the document destination
