Monitoring the Learning Environment: How Your Feedback is Used

At the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, your feedback is essential for maintaining a positive and professional learning environment. Here’s what happens when you submit feedback about mistreatment or unprofessional behavior:
Submitting Feedback
- Students can submit feedback in several ways:
- Through the ATM reporting process.
- Through the Title IX process.
- Via the End of Experience and individual educator evaluations.
- At Learning Environment Sessions in the third-year clerkships.
- Any ATM or Title IX reports received through course evaluations will be routed through the appropriate channels.
Initial Review
- The Medical Education Office (MEO) reviews all submitted feedback.
- Comments are always de-identified to protect your privacy.
- If your feedback includes low ratings or describes mistreatment, it is flagged for further review.
Action and Follow-Up
- Department chairs and the Dean review trends and address them during annual reviews.
- Individual faculty records may be reviewed for promotions.
Continuous Improvement
- The school compiles quarterly and annual reports to identify trends and improve the learning environment.
- Your feedback helps shape policies and ensures accountability at all levels.
Why Your Feedback Matters
By sharing your experiences, you help the school maintain a respectful, supportive, and professional environment for all students. Every report is taken seriously and contributes to positive change.
