Megan Bair-Merritt, MD, MSCE, and Tuhina Neogi, MD, PhD, have been awarded a two-year $550,000 grant funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation through the COVID-19 Fund to Retain Clinical Scientists Collaborative. BUSM is among 22 medical schools receiving funding to help researchers with caregiving responsibilities continue their important contributions to scientific discovery.
Dr. Jacobs was honored for her scientific achievements that have contributed profoundly to the advancement and practice of clinical cardiology.
David McAneny, MD, will succeed him as BUSM Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and BMC Chief Medical Officer and Senior VP of Medical Affairs.
The award recognizes Dr. Ramachandran’s work on clinical practice in hypertension, and significant contributions to the genetic and non-genetic epidemiology of high blood pressure and heart failure.

She will remain as Associate Provost/Dean ad interim for GMS through Dec. 31, 2021, or whenever her successor is selected and on the faculty as an associate professor of pathology & laboratory medicine thru June 30, 2022.
