One hundred ninety members of the Class of 2020 become physicians at one of the most medically challenging times in the last century.
The nomination states, “Dr. Assoumou is an example of the classic ‘triple threat’ while making time to be an exemplary citizen of BUSM.”
Thomas Cheng is the recipient of the 2020 Student Research Fellowship award from the Society of Vascular Surgery Foundation.
Dr. Benjamin has had an extraordinary impact in promoting ethnic, racial and gender diversity within BUSM and BMC, as well as on the national level.
Dr. Dasgupta will complete a project at Ain Shams University in Egypt.
The nomination states: ““She works tirelessly to isolate system-wide issues that impede good clinical care and then figures out methods to solve these issues.”
Drs. Christopher Andry and Gerald Denis are the recipients of the 2020 Shipley Prostate Cancer Pilot Grant Awards.
This year’s event featured research from nearly 60 medical students.
The nomination states: “He works harder than anyone on our team and models how to do it all and with integrity and compassion.”
Akira Murakami, MD, and Priscilla Slanetz, MD, have been awarded the 2019 Editor’s Recognition Award for Special Distinction certificate for outstanding contribution to the peer review of manuscripts.
