The BUADC  is one of thirty centers funded by the National Institute on Aging to make research advances that will improve the care and treatment for people with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as seek ways to prevent the disease process, and to find an eventual cure.

Senior Living Residences is a local Boston-based company with a reputation as a leader in providing Alzheimer’s care to Massachusetts seniors in its Compass Memory Support Neighborhoods®. SLR’s forward-looking approach to developing treatment programs for Alzheimer’s care led them to a formal affiliation with the BU ADC. This unique affiliation brings state-of-the-art treatments for the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and related cognitive impairments from the clinical research setting to SLR’s Compass Memory Support Neighborhoods®. The money given to the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center was raised at SLR’s six Compass Memory Support communities by associates, family members and professional referral sources.
