Mission

The mission of the Genetics Interest Group is to foster interest and participation in the growing field of medical genetics. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the intersections between genetics and other sub-specialties and critically evaluate the ethical, social and economic implications of integrating cutting-edge genetics technology into clinical practice.

Vision

The vision of this organization is to promote the equitable implementation of genetic testing and therapy in clinical practice by educating future providers. Improving understanding of medical genetics will help shift practice towards personalized medicine and bridge the gap between base pairs and bedsides.
