Biography

Dr. Noordzij’s clinical interests include providing state-of-the-art medical and surgical management of disorders that affect the larynx and thyroid gland. His expertise covers the following areas: Adult and Pediatric Laryngology, Care of the Professional Voice, Airway Disorders, Thyroid and Parathyroid disorders, Head and Neck Cancer, and Care of Swallowing Disorders. Dr. Noordzij works in the Boston University Voice and Swallowing Center which is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of laryngological surgeons and speech language pathologists specially trained to manage voice (both speaking and singing) disorders and swallowing disorders.
His research interests include development of new techniques to treat vocal fold paralysis, as well as the improved management of hypocalcemia after thyroidectomy using PTH assay.
