Biography

Dr. Ana Maria Rivas-Grajales is a Neuropsychiatrist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avesidian School of Medicine. She directs the Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation Service at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Rivas-Grajales completed residency training in psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine where she served as chief resident of research, and a clinical fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Her clinical interests include treatment-resistant depression, the neuropsychiatry of Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy, functional neurological disorders, and early onset dementia. Her research focuses on the understanding of the mechanism of action of neuromodulation therapies for treatment-resistant depression.
