Aliza Stern Named October’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month

The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Aliza A. Stern, MMSc, PA-C, has been named Distinguished Faculty of the Month for October.

Stern, who joined the BUSM community in November 2016, serves as didactic director of the PA Program. She also serves as chair of the didactic curriculum committee as well as a member of the clinical, executive and data committees as well as a clinician in the department of dermatology.

A nominator said, “Throughout the pandemic, Aliza humbly, quietly, and effectively led our students through a very challenging time … ensuring they have an optimal experience despite suboptimal circumstances.

“Students benefit not just directly from her teaching and advising, but also from her work behind the scenes, preparing coursework, coordinating OSCE’s, making sure things run smoothly and efficiently.

“Aliza serves as the glue for the different facets of the PA Program. She’s an incredible educator!”
