Dr. Comfort joined our community in fall 2019 as an assistant professor of obstetrics & gynecology. Consistently recognized for medical student and residency teaching, she joined the Academy of Medical Educators in 2020 and was awarded the 2021 CREOG National Faculty Teaching Award for excellence in Ob/Gyn resident education.

She received her BSc in Chemistry from New York University and MD from Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYU School of Medicine.

A nominator said, “Dr. Comfort is known for her excellent patient care and mentoring of young women in science. Through her mentoring, I got the chance to experience the frustration, joy and passion of being an investigator. Her willingness to discuss out-of-the-box ideas pushed me to ask tough scientific questions. I have grown as a scientist and an individual.”

“Dr. Comfort’s support has been constant and never-ending.”

Congratulations!
