Allison Larson, MD, Awarded August Distinguished Faculty of the Month

Dr. Larson headshot wearing whitecoat.The Faculty Affairs Office is pleased to announce that Allison Larson is August’s Distinguished Faculty of the Month.

An Associate Professor of Dermatology, Larson sees general dermatology patients and holds a monthly gynecologic dermatology clinic at Boston Medical Center. Her primary focus is medical education. She serves as Residency Program Director and Vice Chair for Education and previously co-directed the Dermatology Disease and Therapeutics Module for six years.

Larson received her bachelor’s, master’s, and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.  She completed a residency in dermatology and fellowship in dermatopathology at Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital respectively).

The nomination states, “Dr Larson has made a substantial impact on our department and residency program, which goes beyond the expectations for a new program director.”
