Hemant Roy Named Franz J. Ingelfinger, MD, Professor in Gastroenterology
Hemant Roy, MD, Chief Section of Gastroenterology, will be named as the first Franz J. Inglefinger, MD, Professor in Gastroenterology at an installation ceremony at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 20, in the Wilkins Board Room. Evans Medical Foundation established the professorship in 2016, to recognize the enduring impact of Dr. Ingelfinger (1910-1980) on the field of gastroenterology and the Department of Medicine at BUSM.
