Aviva Lee-Parritz Appointed to BUMG Leadership Role

Aviva Lee-Parritz, MD, has been appointed Director of the Office for Equity, Vitality and Inclusion for Boston University Medical Group (BUMG) and Assistant Dean of Faculty Practice at Boston University Medical School (BUSM). In this new role, Dr. Lee-Parritz will be responsible for the development and implementation of diversity, equity, vitality, and inclusion initiatives for BUMG and will coordinate related activities on the medical campus in these areas at BMC and BUSM.

The physician leadership roles for the Women’s Leadership Committee, Wellness & Professional Vitality Committee, and Diversity Committee will report directly to Dr. Lee-Parritz.

Dr. Lee-Parritz has been the Chief of the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Boston Medical Center and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at BUSM since 2013. An Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at BUSM and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she serves as the Chair of the Women’s Leadership Advisory Board as well as on the BUMG Compliance and Finance committees.

Dr. Lee-Parritz received her BS in Nursing from Columbia University and her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Tufts University Affiliated Hospitals and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
