The Department of Virology, Immunology & Microbiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (salary range 135,000-190,000 USD). The position comes with competitive salary, generous start-up support, and BSL2/ BSL2+ laboratory space. We welcome applications from scientists with programs studying virology, bacteriology, and/or immune responses to infection. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., a strong publication record, and grant funding.
The successful applicant will join a growing and vibrant department that values creativity and collaboration, and is invested in the success of trainees, staff, and faculty. The department has an excellent research and funding portfolio with strengths in molecular virology, viral pathogenesis, and innate and adaptive immune responses to viral and bacterial infection. Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and the Boston University Medical Campus is home to state-of-the-art core facilities and includes several world-renowned centers with strong links with the department, including the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories, the Pulmonary Center, and the Center for Regenerative Medicine.
