COVID-19 Psychiatric Emergency Services Survey

The goal of this study is to better understand the experiences of patients who received psychiatric emergency services (PES) during the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically examining social determinants of health, the impact of pandemic-related public health measures, and the impact of COVID-19 infection. The survey results will be quantitatively analyzed to assess whether variables such as changes in housing status, COVID-19 infection, and access to mental healthcare, significantly correlate with changes in mental health symptoms during the pandemic. Based on survey results, some participants may be invited to a follow-up focus group to discuss their experiences during the pandemic.
