GSI 16th Annual Research Symposium: Winners

The Genome Science Institute held its 16th Annual Research Symposium on November 12th. The symposium was greatly attended by students, post-doctoral associates, staff, and faculty. The GSI team thanks all of those who participated from those presenting in the Trainees’ Lightning Talks, Faculty Talks, and the Poster Session.

Congratulations to Maria Valadez Ingersoll (Ph.D. Candidate in the Davies Lab) in the Trainees’ Lightning Talk portion and Amulya Shastry (Ph.D. Candidate in the Mizgerd Lab) from the Poster Session in winning the Grand Research Pilot Prizes. Each prize entails of a $10K award completely allocated for spending at one of the BUSM Cores or a $8K award for allocation towards genomic research reagents. 

Congratulations to Jenna Libera (Ph.D. Candidate in the Wolozin Lab) in the Trainees’ Lightning Talk portion and Giulia Burrone (Ph.D. Candidate in the Perrissi Lab) from the Poster Session in winning the Symposium Runner-Up Prize. Each prize entails of a $5K award completely allocated for spending at one of the BUSM Cores or a $4K award for allocation towards genomic research reagents.

All speakers who presented in the Trainees’ Lightning Talks, Faculty Talks, and a Top Ranked Poster will be receiving $100 honorariums for their selection. Please see below for the list:
