Boston University Single-Cell Core & 10x Genomics GEM-X Multiome Grant Program 2026 in partnership with the GSI and Illumina

The BUSM Genome Science Institute, in collaboration with the BU Single-Cell Sequencing Core, 10x Genomics and Illumina is sponsoring a single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNASeq) workshop this Fall 2026. Please join us for the BU Single-Cell Core & 10x Genomics GEM-X Multiome Grant Workshop Seminar on October 20th, 2026!

The goal of this workshop is to provide the BUMC and BU research community a chance to explore developing areas of genomics research and to generate preliminary data for future grant proposals. This year two different types of projects (4 samples each) will be sponsored: 1) single cell or nuclei RNA-seq with On Chip Multiplexing (OCM) 2) Single Nuclei Multiome. At least two winners for each project type will be selected and all the costs (over $10K for the OCM and over $20K for Multiome) will be covered with a small copayment of $1000.

Exclusive through BU Single-Cell Core, apply for a 10x Genomics Multiome or OCM Grant program – apply HERE by November 10th, 2026

10x Genomics & BU SC Core will host technology office hours every Friday and host a table at the GSI Annual Research Symposium. Applicants who attend the office hours and speak to 10x Genomics at the GSI symposium will be noted in their grant application review.

Please contact Yuriy Alekseev at yurik@bu.edu and/or Alisa Atkins Alisa.Atkins@10xgenomics.com for more information.
