GSI Symposium 2022: Winners

The Genome Science Institute held its 14th Annual Research Symposium on November 17th. It was the first in-person symposium post pandemic in the newly renamed Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine – Hiebert Lounge. The symposium was greatly attended by students, post-doctoral associates, staff, and faculty. The GSI team thanks all of those who participated from those presenting in the Lightning Talks, Faculty Talks, and the Poster Session.

Congratulations to Anthony Spinella (Ph.D. Candidate in the Varelas Lab) in the Lightning Talk portion and Jackie Turcinovic (Ph.D. Candidate in the Connor Lab) from the Poster Session in winning the Grand Research Pilot Prizes. Each prize entails of a $15K award completely allocated for spending at one of the BUSM Cores. A special thank you to the varying vendors in support of the Genomic collaborations across the Charles River and Medical campuses.

Lightning Talk speakers and top ranking posters are also receiving $100 honorariums for their selection.
