Dr. Vladimir Botchkarev, Recipient of John Ebling Lecture at the 13th World Congress for Hair Research

Dr. Vladimir Botchkarev, Professor of Dermatology, is this year’s recipient of the prestigious John Ebling Lecture at the 13th World Congress for Hair Research held in Dallas, TX.  This honor has been awarded annually since 1993 to leading scientists for their dedication and exceptional achievements to the field of hair research.  Dr. Botchkarev’s primary research interests include the molecular mechanisms of hair growth and pathobiology of different forms of hair loss, and was selected to give this year’s lecture “All Roads Lead to the Nucleus: How Epigenetic Machinery Orchestrates Hair Growth”.  As co-Director of the Center for Aging Research, Dr. Botchkarev’s research also focuses on epigenetic factors influencing skin stem cell activity, aging, wound healing, and carcinogenesis.
